Where self-belief grows

Relaxation and Visualisation Exercises

We have recorded a number of different exercises which can be useful for helping with relaxation and dealing with stressful and anxious situations. There are some mindfulness techniques, visualisation activities and muscle relaxation exercises.

Mindfulness can help us to shut out the constant thought processes and 'conversations' which go on in our heads. Being mindful is about using our senses to be more self-aware and aware of what is happening in the present moment. It can be really useful for calming down busy minds.

Using a visualisation technique can take us to a favourite place such as a beach or forest where we enjoy the experience of escaping from the everyday busyness of life for a few moments.

Relaxing muscles is another good way of getting rid of the tension we sometimes feel in our bodies when we are worried or stressed.

It's always useful to find a quiet place, either in your bedroom or another room in the house or outside, where you can focus and concentrate without being interrupted before trying these activities out.

We would love to hear how you get on!
