Where Friendship Grows

A community space, designed by young people, for young people

In 2017 ROC Café opened its doors as a drop-in for 11-18’s to hang out, unwind and meet new people. It’s in the newly refurbished Undercroft at Wilmslow URC. Over 40 local young people helped shape both the look and feel of the cafe and our youth advisory board help decide what activities we run in it.

It’s staffed by a team of lovely volunteers who are always available for a chat if you need it. You'll find games consoles, art activities, table tennis, lots of good food and plenty of sofas and beanbags to kick back on. It's open for anyone in high school and you can pop in for just a few minutes or stay for the whole time we're open.

Safeguarding

We operate a drop-in policy at ROC Café, meaning young people are welcome to come and go as they please. We ask that parents/responsible adults fill in a consent form for each young person attending the café.

The ROC Café team are DBS checked and receive annual safeguarding training. All of our activities are run in line with our safeguarding policy. You can view our safeguarding statement here.
